GRANNY BLANKET PROGRESS

I have made some progress with my granny blanket so thought I would post the results so far. Due to the pattern that is emerging I am calling it 'Squares Within Squares'. 

Once I have four of these four large squares I will join them to make another square and so on until I am happy with the size and then decide on a border.

My Christmas Present

My son and I have been enjoying going for bike rides.  My lovely man put the basket on the back for me.  I plan to take the handle off it and make a floral cover with some laminated fabric.

I love the floral details in all of these, not sure what I am going to do with them yet but they were too pretty to resist.

My version of Lucy's bag.

I have a lovely bag made from bark cloth in this style and I love the one wide shoulder strap.  I have since felted this bag in the washing machine and wasn't overly impressed with the result.  That's OK because it gives me the excuse to make another one.

FABRIC FINDS

Like all crafters, I have a love of fabric.  Here are some pre-loved fabrics that I have discovered and haven't been able to resist the temptation to bring them home with me.

Bark Cloth

Vintage lace and ribbon.

More floral fabric (this is on the list to make a shopping bag)

(this is on the list to use as a panel in an A-line skirt
when I pluck up the courage to give it a go)

CHRISTMAS AND CRAFTS
